I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone here for being so welcoming and friendly toward me. I posted a few times at DK's site, trying to warn them about the mental problems of one of their regular posters (the one we're not discussing here, who calls herself the "Lead Zodiac Investigator" or something like that).
This person is my sister, so I know alot about her. But since she cut off all communication with her family around 2005, I was totally unaware of her online activities until 6/3. On that morning, the sherriff came to my door looking for my sister. that started a chain of events, and led to my discovering all sis' posts and pages.
I posted at Dennis' board, saying that my sister has a history of mental illness, and asking them to please stop egging her on, at least for awhile. I may have said some things I shouldn't, but at the time it seemed like the best thing to do, to make them aware of my sister's situation. I just plain do not want to see innocent people get hurt, no matter who they are. So I tried to warn them at that MB.
In return, I was first accused of being another personality of Tom Voigt/Chris Yarbrough (my sister is convinced they're the same person). Then I was told that "everyone here knows you are trouble," I was labeled a "cyberstalker" -- complete with a link to an online dictionary (whose definition, btw, doesn't fit me: I'm not on all her pages, not emailing/commenting, and not telling lies about her).
Ultimately, I was banned from Dennis' site before I could tell him I'm this person's sister. So I created a new ID at that board, for the sole purpose of PM-ing him to reveal my true identity and, again, ask him to stop egging sis on. I have yet to receive any reply from him. I promised I would never post under that new ID, and I mean to keep that promise.
That being said, I again want to thank everyone here. You have all been very supportive and kind. I'm not very well-informed about recent developments in the Zodiac case. In fact, I had never heard of Dennis Kaufman, Tom Voigt, or Chris Yarbrough until this whole mess with my sister (which, too, was used against me on Dennis' board).
I'm starting to get into all this now. I was always intrigued by the Zodiac case (I went to school with Dave Toschi's daughter, although we weren't in the same social circle). I just never had time to follow it very much. But since I've been medically forced to retire (physical problems), I just might do some more reading on this fascinating case.

Also, please note that I am NOT trying to start a discussion about my sister. I know we're being asked not to discuss her for time being, and as her sister, I both appreciate and respect that. But there was simply no way I could express my gratitude without at least a passing mention of her.

Well, now that the "cat" is out of the bag, let me officially welcome you to the site. I truely hope that your sister gets the help that she needs, though I seriously doubt that the help will come from anyone at the "real" DK website.
The Zodiac case certainly is one of the most fascinating ones to study. We all here sometimes get "geeky" about it and may talk in seeming codes (BRS, LH, ALA, etc.), so if you ever have any questions about the case, I am sure that we all slow down long enough to explain what the h*ll we are talking about if you ask.

Thank you so much for your post. It is very good to know that you, as a family member, are there for your sister and able to keep a eye on her situation. I hope she can be convinced to get the help she needs.

VendorWoman, thank you for stepping forward and adding a little insight to the situation. Dennis and Nanette are despicable people who will use and abuse those around them for their own purposes. Dennis saw you as a threat, so he removed you before you could tell the truth. I've noticed in many instances over the Internet that those who accuse people of harassment often do so to justify their own obnoxious behavior. Nanette Barto is a perfect example of that.
We don't discuss her over here anymore because we don't want to aggravate her situation. Her theories and opinions just aren't relevant to discussion now that we know that they are not produced from a sound mind. I do hope your sister gets the help she needs. We have seen her being taken advantage of and even mistreated by those that have decided to use her. It's really disturbing and sad. I know it must not be easy for you, but we stand by you and hope the best for your family.
I know your introduction to this case has been a strange one, but we welcome you just the same! Our focus here is in proving that Dennis Kaufman's case against Jack Tarrance is bogus. We have been rather successful at it, thus all of the anger directed our way.

I just went back to DK's site, out of curiosity. Both of my IDs there are totally gone. I can't even PM myself (from one ID to the other) like I could yesterday.
Not worried about it, since I promised not to post under that 2nd ID anyway. This latest act on Dennis' part just makes it easier for me to resist the temptation. So in that aspect, he's actually doing me a favor.
I've done all I can for my sister now (which includes calling Adult Protective Services to go out and check on her and on my elderly aunt, whom she takes care of). I tried to tell Dennis what's going on, but he prefers to ignore me. So, like having a battle of wits with an unarmed man, any further actions for me on that MB are just a waste of my time and energy.

Hi Vendorwoman.
Glad to see you here. Unfortunately, if you aren't on board with "Jack is the Zodiac" at Dennis' site you will get ignored or banned. I was banned after asking one common sense question about Jack's audio interview. Sorry about your sister..hoepfully things will get better. |

Vendor Woman...I am glad that you are Cats sister!!!
As you know I had similar problem trying to alert DK's MB and administrators...
Hoping that you have success with your actions and that the stress decreases for your sister, but more importantly you, for without you none of us folks on the internet would have had much success I fear. You've got your hands full.
I too want to thank the folks at this board. I was treated with respect when I asked for help with my concerns.
